Where to stay in Porto Seguro

Luxury hotels and beach resorts are the name of the game when it comes to accommodations in Porto Seguro, with many tourists looking to relax and enjoy the coastal atmosphere. Most of these lie a couple of miles north of the city center, pressed up against long stretches of beach. To enjoy the party scene and get close to the best things to see in Porto Seguro, stay in the narrow streets of the old town. However, if the nightlife seems a bit too intense for your taste, consider the plentiful options in Arraial d'Ajuda--a smaller, quieter town just a couple of miles to the south.

  • We were accompanied by a guide who gave us very interesting information about the site and about safe haven in General.

  • Museum, declared historical heritage, it is interesting to know, in the timeline, the indigenous story, costumes of the time (you can't touch anything), ancient navigation instruments. The visitation is free, monitored by an employee, all in a group of ten people, and after some 4 or 5 rooms the staircase you lena to last room, the old chain with 70 cm thick walls.

  • The Museum is located in the historic town of Porto Seguro, listed by historical heritage. To get in the door, the visitor is faced with a staircase that leads to the upper floor of a small building of only two floors; a guide accompanies the small group of up to 10 people in the rooms, where they are exposed indigenous parts, navigation tools, such as those used by Pedro Alvares Cabral. The last room of this floor leads to a staircase (placed later) to the ground floor. This place worked the chain; where the prisoners were placed through the ropes and out to la so your trial.

  • The place needs to be better maintained, but still worth a visit.

  • Visitation points are really nice and the view of almost all the points is beautiful, especially the outside reef. The recommendation is to check out the Museum and visitation of the churches, because in some situations the time is different. And I write the same for all the sights of Porto Seguro: the boring point is that everywhere has a plethora of vendors/guides (most insistent) offering tours, visits etc. Even if you refuse they remain insisting. From what I understand, it's worse in low season, because with reduced movement they can't lose the tourist who arrives.
