Founded by professor and Director Wilson Cruz, which carries for the season, since the natives and their origins as a great hollow and their paraphernalia and so that lived in the old days, in addition to reporting the arrival of the Portuguese very well illustrated, divided into 3 environments and occupying an area of 20000 square meters, the memorial has 600 square meters of built area , the remainder of the space houses a huge botanical garden with typical vegetation of restinga and a replica of the Flagship, the vessel that brought Pedro Álvares Cabral and your crew to Brazil. Students who Excel at school site are guides and give details about the colonization of the country, in addition to information about the native species found in the small trail in which the tour begins, as well as details on the boat.

Visit museums and all attractions illustrating the story is very valid, especially involving children. We went with families and many children's. I believe we all liked.

Interesting stories, good collection, many facts about the discovery that are forgotten. The guides are highly-trained boys.

Memorial (which is not a Museum, remember!) very nice for children, many historical curiosities, interesting replicas and native plants. Highlights of the tour, of course, are the Caravel, where we can enter, check how were the structures, take photos and everything else; and the hollow of the Indians-who has no plans to visit an Indian village, it is interesting to know how they make to build your villa. The Playhouse is quite simple, but enchants children! Needed to improve the knowledge of the guides and your diction-who lives in São Paulo, quickly identify the speech decorated "on wheels" of some of them. A souvenir shop rather than a mere "tent with chain of grain of rice" also came in handy. Apparently more attractions in future, but there's no telling how long the structures are there. Anyway, for a family trip is highly recommended, even though R $20 the entry. In Porto Seguro has many "attractions" worst with similar prices.

At the entrance are greeted by a person who informs the input value (R $20 per person when I went) and tells him how it works. Then a guide already are and you follow the walk knowing details and facts about the period of the discovery. The guided tour takes around 30 minutes as soon as it arrives in the Caravel and the Guide ends to tell you the stories, you can stay in place for as long as you want to take pictures, make videos and retrace the route. On site is not sold anything to eat or drink, is only a historical tour. The Caravel needs urgent care since it is almost colorless and some woods are corroded or weak, aggravating factor if you take into consideration that the structure is entirely made of wood.

The place is beautiful and interesting, but it's expensive for what was offered. The intern (Guide) needs to be more trained and motivated. After all they're telling the history of Brazil.

Where to stay in Porto Seguro

Luxury hotels and beach resorts are the name of the game when it comes to accommodations in Porto Seguro, with many tourists looking to relax and enjoy the coastal atmosphere. Most of these lie a couple of miles north of the city center, pressed up against long stretches of beach. To enjoy the party scene and get close to the best things to see in Porto Seguro, stay in the narrow streets of the old town. However, if the nightlife seems a bit too intense for your taste, consider the plentiful options in Arraial d'Ajuda--a smaller, quieter town just a couple of miles to the south.
