Like the Museum, it's a good place to go with family, however, would be more interesting if there was a guide that interacts with the public, told stories and explaining about the exhibitions, that would draw more attention and people might want to go more often to visit!

I arrived at the Ecomuseum by chance, when I got bored of the overcrowding of the non-Beach and decided to explore the island. Unfortunately when contracts the excursion to the island no one you warns of that this exists. Very interesting is the historical information that exposes, unfortunately only is exposed in Portuguese language. And no one, guide or staff of the place, that makes you an introduction to it.

Situated on the island of Porto Belo. Has replicas of dinosaur bones and some marine animals. The children choose a lot.

Where to stay in Porto Belo

With the municipality's settlements largely located by the water, the vast majority of the area's accommodations cluster in the coastal towns of Porto Belo and Bombinhas. In both, you'll find quite a diverse selection of grand resort-style complexes and villas. Simple guesthouses here offer budget rooms, while the bigger resorts charge more for sea views and amenities. A couple of taller, straightforward hotels have been built in the last few years, offering basic rooms at fairly low prices, but they lack the character and charm of some of the older buildings.
