  • I saw this spot here on TripAdvisor. It is a small street in Cidade Baixa. The houses look great in their different colours. Nice to take a couple of pictures.  more »
  • The crosspiece of the Venetians still preserves the architecture of the villas. Houses built side by side, gently sloped roof, door and front Windows voltdasa directly to the street. Street with irregular stones

  • The Venetian platter is located between the streets Lopo Gonçalves and Joaquim Nabuco downtown in Porto Alegre and consists of a narrow alley with a set of seventeen houses that have a very simple architecture, with short front to a door and one or two Windows, tracks to each other in a row and that by your historical importance , were toppled by the historical and Cultural heritage of Porto Alegre. The curiosity is that until the middle of the 19th century these buildings were occupied by low-income people, who lived in rental scheme and that over the years turned out to be the new owners. This region of lower town was a suburb with aspects of the countryside, at the mercy of constant floods caused by the Flood Brook, was also known as a refuge for slaves and your evolution occurred only from the installation of a pottery in the vicinity. Chroniclers of the time mentioning that your title is derived from the ancient name of Joaquim Nabuco Street, which was known as the street of the Venetians and also highlight how picturesque aspects that the street carnival was very popular, moved all over the neighborhood and that one of the most well-known blocks of time was the block of the Venetians.
