  • Very nice site, but access is difficult for non-city, go with driver (taxi, Uber or Cabifi), enjoy the view and go down to Ipanema (restaurants and the edge of the Guaíba Lake is very beautiful, preferably at sunset), not to take on the site.

  • The Natural Park of the Morro do Bone was created in 1994, has 143 meters above sea level and is located in a natural area of approximately 127 acres, constituting an important biological redoubt, located on the South side of Porto Alegre is a preservation area open for public visitation, being a great option, as well as to observe the native flora of the region tourists and visitors are one of the most beautiful views of the city and covering the Guaíba Lake, the Jacuí Delta, the Santa Teresa hills, Teresópolis, acute, da Tapera, the Open and Ponta Grossa. Among the specimens of flora that make up the formation of the region it is possible to find the fig purgative, rust myrsine, cinnamon, mastic, the branquilho and the camboim, apart from some tree species under threat of extinction, as cinnamon black, corticeira da serra and the sobraji, on the frog fauna of grave, the frog of the plated , Creole frog and the frog Crier, among the reptiles are lizards of yellow chat, the Green Lizard, the serpent Pope-pinto, the real coral and jararaca pintada, in addition to these species were recorded about 65% of the birds found in Porto Alegre where the sabiá-blacksmith, the juruvia, the Pogo stick and the Woodpecker and rare birds, like the Pearl kite the short-tailed Hawk and the beija flor de Pompadour, were also found at the site some mammals, small rodents and some rare species such as the Red howler monkey and the Hedgehog. According to the residents of the region the name Morro do Bone because that breed Indians guarani living in the region, did your cemetery over there and it was very common to find until recently large clay pots containing dried corpses or bones of the ancient inhabitants of the place, another explanation for the name is that it derives from the custom that the natives had to practice "the bone Game the money" at the top of the Hill, where it was easier to see the police, because despite being a well widespread cultural practice at the time, the game was forbidden by law. The fight for the preservation of the Natural Park of the Morro do Bone has more than twenty years and for presenting a great biodiversity and remnants of Atlantic forest, the Hill motivated environmentalists, surrounding communities, universities and Government agencies to seek the conservation and preservation of the area with the creation of the Standing Committee in defense of the Hill of the bone, which is why in 1979 the Park was transformed into ecological and environmental preservation area for the master plan City and in 1994 was officially created the Natural Park Hill.

  • Site full of stories that hosts a large vegetation and several copies of animals. Water sources and trails can be discovered easily after a walk. It's worth taking the day to explore this park, which deserves greater attention by authorities, to turns it into tourist spot of the city.
