  • Through the Mill decided to take a quick passage through the Olympic Stadium. I was scared and greatly regretted the State of total abandonment. While it is not demolished should receive some care, preserve some of your story.

  • The Olympic Stadium, which belonged to Grêmio, was negotiated as part of the construction of the ARENA (this is a stadium that is worth knowing), and, because of contractual disagreements with the cosntrutora OAS, has not yet been authorised by the Club to your demolition. So, a quick visit, quite fast, it would be a mere visit to a stadium that is being gradually destroyed, it's not what you'd call a tourist attraction.

  • The Monumental Olympic stadium was opened in 1954 and was owned by the Gremio Football Porto Alegrense is located in Largo Patron Kroeff, Fernando the watermill in Porto Alegre and your capacity was approximately 46000 people, had two rings, with the top ring was composed of chairs and owned in the central part the set of cabins is disabled since the Gremio went on to play their matches in the Stadium Arena, which still belongs to company OAS and which is in the process of negotiation, for purchase by the tricolor Gaucho. The last official match of Gremio at the Olympic stadium was in December 2012 against the traditional rival, when it was performed a beautiful farewell ceremony with many honors, at the stadium entry for tricolor, but later due to various problems in the new Arena, the Olympic continued receiving Gremio matches until February 2013. When the initial negotiation, the construction company OAS had plans to do the demolition of the Olympic Stadium quickly, as was provided for the construction of a condominium of buildings on the site, but due to administrative, judicial and political problems because the construction company be responsible for various administrative and judicial processes, was raised a major impasse in the negotiation and the whole process is stagnating both the negotiation for the purchase of the Arena, as well as for the demolition of the stadium, the Olympic stadium was given the OAS as part of payment of the new Arena until you find a solution to this impasse processes are stopped by judicial determination. It is worth mentioning that the Olympic Stadium is abandoned, unused, with the cultural being dilapidated and without any kind of maintenance and cause a great sadness, for whom football is a fan or not see gremista being reduced this grand, historic stadium that was the site of the greatest achievements and victories of the team. For those who didn't have the opportunity to meet, or even for those who know but want to save a memory, it is worth visiting the site and make a photographic record, at least to preserve the memory of this place that was the scene of the greatest joys of Grêmio's fans. How was the subject of invasion by homeless and drug addicts and due to the fact that there became a major concern of the surrounding community, due to rising crime and violence in the region, currently the site is banned and security do not allow visitation to the site, which I consider a lack of consideration and respect for those who like football also I think it's a shame that the stadium has not been transformed into a Museum of football, the importance and historical significance of the site for the Gaucho football.

  • O local está demolido caindo aos pedaços e é abrigo de crackeiros.
