  • This museum, located just a couple of minutes by foot from the Teatro São Pedro, could be described as "anachronic" - it features a variegated collection of objects and pieces of art that span a quite...  more »
  • Small but attractive, stay close to the Cathedral, praça da Matriz, Piratini Palace, São Pedro Theater and Public Library. For those who will get to know the historical center is a required legal. After the Museum and the attractions above, you can descend towards the Public Market and the harbor by the viaduct of Borges de Medeiros, or the street of the beach and go to casa de Cultura Mario Quintana and the Plant flow meter, or better do everything in a day or two.

  • Those who know museums know what you're going to get, but will always see new things I bet you it will be worth it. That's how to read a book for the second time, you will always observe any details that go unnoticed at first. So it's worth watching again.

  • The four stars are for the building. There are some cool historical objects here, especially from the Guarani in the Seven Missions area. As a history nut I was very excited to visit this museum but, unfortunately, it is half-abandoned, like many others in Brazil. Next to the cathedral and Marechal Deodoro Park. Free entry, so definitely worth the visit.
  • A lot of history badly presented. Some rooms are almost bare and the more interesting exhibits are in darkness. In need of someone with vision to bring it to life. Better use of space, decent lighting, a café and a shop would help.
  • Museum in decadence, was at the time of my school and called me a lot of attention, this year I took my students and it was a total disappointment seems to be played moths.

  • Beautiful place, need more attention from the public authorities, as most of the city's cultural furniture. Always a joy to visit this space. Great service, especially Diego who knows a lot and is a great mediator.

  • I can't talk, because it was closed with an air of abandonment on a Thursday.
