Marinha do Brasil park, Porto Alegre

(4/5 based on 420+ reviews on the web)
As you take a stroll down the tree-lined avenue, you will feel far removed from Porto Alegre despite its location close to the city center. Marinha do Brasil park is a tranquil haven where you can relax in the large, green areas and with the Guaíba River forming a natural border to the west and the park lake teeming with fish and small turtles, you will feel at one with nature. Make sure you look out for Yellow-bellied Sapsuckers and Great Kiskadees among the numerous birds that live in the forest of native and exotic trees. Marinha do Brasil park was also designed for recreation, and as you walk around, you will come across seven soccer fields, tennis and basketball courts, and a track for running and cycling. There is also a large skate park, where you can watch an impressive display of skilled maneuvers and tricks performed by local skateboarding enthusiasts. • Beautiful park and great! Recommend that you wear comfortable clothes and shoes. It's located in a place a little isolated from the city, despite the proximity to the Centre, but ends up in a corner between the Guaíba Lake, and a large Avenue, so one gets the impression that few people attend. As is common in the parks, there is no paving, parks and streets are of clay, giving a characteristic value, however it is not recommended to go to these places after having rained because the possibility of jamming in the clay is right.

  • Beside the river guaiba, and I consider the Navy of Brazil one of the best parks in porto alegre. Very large, and very diverse. People will exercise, a walk with the family, make slacklining, skating and descaçar.

  • A beautiful urban park that was landed on the shores of Lake Guaíba (Rio Guaíba, at the time), which was opened at the end of 1978. At the time, I was a child, attending a town hall program called "green Patrols" and had the privilege of planting some seedlings that today are the trees of the Park. There are about 70 acres of parkland and once housed everything up to international Scouts. Good place to hang out, play sports, or even take a mate at sunset!
