  • It is a symbol of the RS policy. The statue stands next to the symbols of the State, such as House and Government House. It's worth taking a picture for posterity.

  • I've heard several times about this statue and did not know his location. I ended up with my question last time I went to Porto Alegre. Simply, you can't go wrong: she is positioned at the very end of a sidewalk that separates the Piratini Palace, the Metropolitan Cathedral. In reality, it is a common statue, depicting the great statesman only Gaucho, but worth to be known, if only because it's something unusual at that location.

  • As I don't think one bit interesting this custom of putting bust or statue in honor of someone. I think a waste of public money, regardless of the honored. There's nothing in this tourist attraction. I passed casually at the site. I think it detracts a little buildings around.
