Cascata das Antas, Pocos de Caldas

(3.6/5 based on 550+ reviews on the web)
A home for ruins and water, Cascata das Antas is a beautiful location for nature walks and photo ops. There you'll find the ruins of a building reclaimed by vines and trees. The structure probably spent its functional life as a church, but now those memories are lost to time and what remains is protected by the forest's arms. The cascades themselves are a sight to behold, with water flowing over smoothed rock in a sheet of white spray. Be sure to wrap your camera in plastic to protect it from the cascade's shower. • The waterfall is beautiful, however the Park is very dirty and unkempt, the whole time we were there, we didn't see nor an employee, overflowing garbage, dirty bathrooms, it's a shame such a lovely place to be so abandoned.

  • Easy access and parking. Very nice and beautiful. It is worth climbing the trail to the ruins of the first hydroelectric power plant in the region.

  • Very good to relax and enjoy nature, not to be missed in Poços de Caldas, some away, but don't forget to visit ...
