Our Lady of Rosario church, Pirenopolis

(4.1/5 based on 650+ reviews on the web)
Destroyed by a fire in 2002, the Our Lady of Rosario church is reconstructed and has reclaimed its place as a center of religious and cultural life. Inside, you'll see wooden beams making angles across white walls. Small alcoves in these walls protect the iconography of the church while the front altar contains the churches most sacred ritual objects. You'll find a display profiling the church's reconstruction after the fire near the entryway of the building. Each brick was relaid with care by the community that the church serves. • Beautiful, small mass procession conducted before mass. The architecture of the Church is also worth a visit.

  • After retirement (due to a fire, "victimized" centuries of history), the Church managed to keep the architectural beauty, filled with adobe, and the mystical aura that has always carried. It's been charging for tours inside, but still worth it for those who never went in. If you don't want to put my hand in my pocket, the outside it can handle.
