Lazaro and Santa Maria Waterfall, Pirenopolis
(4.4/5 based on 750+ reviews on the web)
The natural beauty of Lazaro and Santa Maria Waterfall will mesmerize you. Located in Reserva Ecológica Vargem Grande, a privately owned nature reserve, you reach both falls by taking a well-maintained, paved trail through dense vegetation. First you will come to Cachoeira Santa Maria, and after a dip in its cool waters, you can sunbathe on the pretty, white beach. Cachoeira do Lázaro is another 1,500 m (0.9 miles) hike over trickier terrain but well worth the effort. The larger of the two, Lázaro is less visited but visually more stunning, with several flows of water cascading over the rocks. • Place of easy access, but a bit time consuming, about a half hour drive on dirt road, but the road is quiet. Upon arriving at the scene, we were very well served by security guards on the site; until the security guard in the parking lot was kind in providing a plastic bag to collect the garbage. Upon arriving at the scene, we were surprised by the beauty of the place ... sounds kind of movies! the ideal is to get there early to enjoy the site.

  • A bit distant for young children. We love the location of bath. Walk good and exaggerated noise out of nothing.

  • I paid 30.00 per person R$, has two tracks (one for each waterfall), Lazarus is longer, but worth the walk. the other is shorter and also worth the bath.. the two are somewhat similar, it's worth going there knowing if I have time, if no better just go on the Abbot himself.
