Lazaro and Santa Maria Waterfall, Pirenopolis
(4.4/5 based on 750+ reviews on the web)
The natural beauty of Lazaro and Santa Maria Waterfall will mesmerize you. Located in Reserva Ecológica Vargem Grande, a privately owned nature reserve, you reach both falls by taking a well-maintained, paved trail through dense vegetation. First you will come to Cachoeira Santa Maria, and after a dip in its cool waters, you can sunbathe on the pretty, white beach. Cachoeira do Lázaro is another 1,500 m (0.9 miles) hike over trickier terrain but well worth the effort. The larger of the two, Lázaro is less visited but visually more stunning, with several flows of water cascading over the rocks. • Beautiful farm and great waterfall, did not give full marks because I think the entries of the waterfalls Peri too expensive, should review the values outside this is a good choice, in this even has a cachu area with sand, cool to take a Sun.

  • The entrance to the waterfall and not so far from town, located just past the gazebo. The input value is fair and do not charge for children up to 10 years, even better! The access is not far away and is very nice and pleasant. The waterfall is beautiful, with great "prainha" with enough sand to stay with the kids. Next to this is a place to buy drinks, only take cash but is super helpful.

  • Right near the town (12 km) is the ecological reserve Vargem Grande. Part of the road is of clay. It is a private property with R$ 35.00 ticket cost. The 2 waterfalls are beautiful with very good accessibility.
