Sertao Museum, Piranhas
(2.5/5 based on 300+ reviews on the web)
Sertao Museum is a simple museum showcasing the hard life under the rule of the coroneis (local political masters with engrossing power), weapons used by outlaws, Brazilian cowboys and smugglers. There are photos that show the history of the region, a collection of items from Lampiao, who was a famous Brazilian bandit leader in the last century, and whose exploits turned him into a “folk hero”. There is also a replica of a plaster house used by the local people. Take a look at our Piranhas trip builder to schedule your visit to Sertao Museum and learn about what else to see and do during your holiday.

  • I'm not saying it isn't worth the visit by 2 real, but doesn't add much of anything to trip, except for the staff, as all in Piranhas.

  • Most interesting are the belongings of the Lantern. Worth the visit, recommend to everyone. Very cool site.

  • The Museum is small, but the local history and the Northeast around the cangaço. Some parts used at the time and a good photographic collection.
