  • Petrolina is a city of "developed". Paved streets, tourism. Hot town, bathed by the Rio São Francisco and borders. Quiet town, with peaks in traffic in the commercial times, especially, arrival and departure of the population. Anything that takes the stress (laughs). To meet Petrolina and enjoy the nights are required 3 days.

  • Walter Platinir this street is part of my childhood, a former football field little Pelé, Barbosa Lima Street, Rua Manoel Borba, old times never to come back. Missing my Teachers: Mary, Sonia Steps, Marlene, Zélia, good times on EMAAFF.

  • Because it is a historical site and be released with a tourist attraction, should have greater care with the preservation of the houses. It's so sad you know an abandoned and all sprayed.

Where to stay in Petrolina

Much of Petrolina’s activity centers around the snaking Sao Francisco River, and the majority of the city’s hotels can be found here. These vary in quality but offer easy access to restaurants, bars, and stores as well as the city of Juazeiro, which sits just across the bridge. Those who want to enjoy the youthful buzz and affordable eateries that the University provides should look for accommodations near or on Dom Malan Square. Smaller guesthouses and bed and breakfasts tend to be less expensive but are generally tucked away in residential areas.
