  • I went alone, on a Friday, of Van and I loved it. Lol at first discouraged by not finding any agency to do the ride during the week and the taxi driver charged values that weren't worth the penalty, as it would alone. One of them gave me the tip of the Van and I was so happy. Just get a Van next to the hotel Grande Rio and ask to stop at the crossing of the Juarez. $6.00;) trip Getting there was well received and enjoyed of the crossing and the river bath.

Where to stay in Petrolina

Much of Petrolina’s activity centers around the snaking Sao Francisco River, and the majority of the city’s hotels can be found here. These vary in quality but offer easy access to restaurants, bars, and stores as well as the city of Juazeiro, which sits just across the bridge. Those who want to enjoy the youthful buzz and affordable eateries that the University provides should look for accommodations near or on Dom Malan Square. Smaller guesthouses and bed and breakfasts tend to be less expensive but are generally tucked away in residential areas.
