Praia Vermelha, Penha
(3.8/5 based on 380+ reviews on the web)
The sand at Praia Vermelha contains ruby crystals, that reflect sunlight and give off a reddish hue when the sun goes down, hence the lovely name of the beach, the Red Beach. The beach is located in the neighborhood of Rio de Janeiro and between two hills, Urca and Babylon hills. The sea is calm but deep. At the beach, there are many historical monuments, two fortresses and a Chopin statue. See Praia Vermelha and all Penha has to offer by arranging your trip with our Penha vacation builder.

  • Beach with access bad, without bars or showers and structure is not good for the bath because it is a bit dangerous, it is founded soon and the waves break very on edge.

  • The Red Beach has the adventure in the "DNA". So hard to get her to explore there. The trail to the waterfall, passing on the way to jump from paragliding and its sea to practice sport. The Red Valley Beach every grain of sand.
