I've heard a lot about the complex of Porto das Barcas Sevenoaks. I went, hoping to find something that spills over history and local culture, and found a horrible location. From the outset, to park the car, looks terrible people trying to get money in every possible way (up to "Polish" the lighthouse of the car I was offered, saying that would leave glowing, just that my headlights are new, that is, dishonest people trying to get along anyway). I didn't see a COP or safety. Access by an avenue that starts in AV. Beira Rio is dark and gives the impression that at any moment You will be robbed. To enter the Hall of Porto das Barcas, a restaurant on the corner is with the sound to the heights (and it wasn't music that can be considered cultural), the craft shops seem to expose products made by children so poorly made they are, not to mention in crafts that seem to be exposed for years, with dust and peeling, in short, a mess. Parnaiba and region has a lot to offer to tourists, but definitely this Porto das Barcas isn't one of them and even should appear in the list of visits for tourists.

The night has a pizzeria, restaurant, ice cream parlor, nice atmosphere with options for family. In addition to many craft shops to buy souvenirs.

Is a very different, very irreverent décor. The location is not so Good, but for those who want to pay cheap is a good option.

Where to stay in Parnaiba

Where the city nestles up to the banks of the river, find charming pousadas (guesthouses) offering a range of facilities and excellent views. Elsewhere in the town, simple hotels and pousadas dominate, with prices dropping markedly in traditionally residential areas. Hostels provide good options for more budget-conscious travelers, while rental apartments represent a good choice for those staying in the city for a little longer, giving an extra degree of independence to go out and explore the town and surrounding areas.
