Portinho Lagoon, Parnaiba

(1.5/5 based on 200+ reviews on the web)
With the surrounding white dunes contrasting with the dark blue water of the lagoon, Portinho Lagoon is a stunning, natural attraction east of Parnaíba. On the lagoon, you can kayak, jet ski, and take rides on banana boats, just be careful as there are piranhas lurking in its depths. Several easygoing bars and restaurants serve delicious regional cuisine, which you can enjoy to the accompaniment of live forró music. Our Parnaiba itinerary planner makes visiting Portinho Lagoon and other Parnaiba attractions simple, and helps you make a travel plan personal to you.

  • The lagoon is dry! The place looks deserted, many people still visit wanting to know, but it is dry and there is nothing to see.

  • The lagoon is completely dry, even with the rains. The place is practically all abandoned. For those who like to know the history of cities, see with their own eyes what the site became is interesting, but there's absolutely nothing else to do there, before a point happy, beautiful, busy, good for bathing, sports, zip line. A shame!

  • A place of very nice setting, but the lagoon is dry and cannot take a bath. The kiosks also were closed due to lack of movement of people.
