Portinho Lagoon, Parnaiba

(1.4/5 based on 200+ reviews on the web)
With the surrounding white dunes contrasting with the dark blue water of the lagoon, Portinho Lagoon is a stunning, natural attraction east of Parnaíba. On the lagoon, you can kayak, jet ski, and take rides on banana boats, just be careful as there are piranhas lurking in its depths. Several easygoing bars and restaurants serve delicious regional cuisine, which you can enjoy to the accompaniment of live forró music. Our Parnaiba itinerary planner makes visiting Portinho Lagoon and other Parnaiba attractions simple, and helps you make a travel plan personal to you.

  • Unfortunately, the pond dried up. Instead there are cows, horses and donkeys. The local bars and restaurants are closed. There is only one Inn still worked. Worth to see the dunes.

  • Formerly the lagoa do portinho was super nice, very beautiful place and with attractions such as banana boating, restaurant. Now the lagoon is dry and without any attention to revitalization, is sad.

  • The lagoon is dry! The place looks deserted, many people still visit wanting to know, but it is dry and there is nothing to see.
