#44 of 127 in Things to do in Paraty
Admire the unspoiled beauty of the Atlantic Rainforest from a completely different perspective as you navigate the different trails through the treetops. Each course, complete with ladders, bridges, ropewalks, and zip lines, is slightly more challenging than the last, and, as you go higher into the forest canopy, you can watch the local monkeys in their natural habitat. Paraty Sport Aventura has the largest arvorismo--tree climbing adventure sport--circuit in Brazil but also offers tours on ground level where you can explore the rivers, waterfalls, and delightful, deserted beaches. • Very cool! Fun, safe and organized. I'm coming back for sure to make the red trail. Structure of tree climbing and super fine Tyrolean mounted.

  • Presenteei for children's day for my 6 year old son a bushwalk. The circuit for small children is very weak and he ended up complaining, not to go so fast, since he made the circuit in about 10 min, I decided to walk with him on the spot, I told the trainer, and I asked if I could, he said yes. This instructor, alias, I mean here, that was very nice to us and professional, Sid, as presented. We went for a trail full of twigs and leaves to a big rock. Getting there had no signage, no indication, only a stepladder that, looking from below seemed safe. We decided to go upstairs, my son got very easily but I couldn't and told him to wait upstairs without going down because I was going to find someone to help him down, since the descent seemed more risky. I went back to the trail and asked for an instructor to go help me. The Sid was drafted and went up and helped my son in the first steps and after he went down alone. Despite the young age he's used to climb trees, stones, has great hand-eye coordination and strength. So far so good, all friendly, apologized to the Sid for the work and thanked him. Upon arriving at the front desk was a man I hadn't seen yet, this was extremely rude to me, coming to be aggressive verbally and raising your voice to me, saying that I had no idea of the risk I had exposed them and was so changed that repeated this several times. I kept calm and told him that I just knew the risk when I tried to go upstairs and saw that it was complicated for me, but until that moment had not known that had risked so much. Why am I saying this? A visitor is not required to know that a site is dangerous, rappelling, tree climbing, zip line, travel in years, I climbed mountains, ando for years in waterfalls, I'm not "nonsense" that would expose the son and me to a risk. IF THE SITE IS DANGEROUS AND CAN ONLY BE ACCESSED WITH AN INSTRUCTOR THAT HAS TO BE SIGNALED. There are almost no signs, the few that there are old and some unreadable. They can't blame visitors for access to areas where the danger is apparent if you've nothing SIGNALING THIS DANGER. I didn't like the way I was treated, I had gone to the site for the first time, I am a resident of the region and say I'm never going back there.

Where to stay in Paraty

If you want close proximity to raucous summer nightlife and some of the best things to see in Paraty, look no further than the historical center. There you can choose from any number of guesthouses, inns, and boutique hotels, which integrate seamlessly into the town's colonial architecture. If beach access is your primary concern, cross the canal and head a few minutes north, until you arrive at the coastal neighborhood of Jabaquara, where you'll find a range of cozy options. Farther from the center, the hillside neighborhood of Pantanal offers something a bit quieter among the trees.
