  • Very nice site full of stories with guns at the time of Pedro, but no guides telling the story, there are no plaques explaining what were the buildings and constructions Anyway, worth knowing but we ended up getting curious to know the story of the place that should be very interesting.

  • The Fort can be accessed by a small track for easy access. The view that has the top is pretty, but nothing spectacular.

  • After traipsing around the edge, across the historic city, climbing a small trail, you arrive to the strong advocate perpetual, where has a trail that ends in a stone used as Lookout, and a view of losing your breath.

  • My wife & I arrived from British Columbia last November. We explored & geocached our way from Intervales Park to Paraty. A very well kept display. Old cannons poised for battle are positioned around the small fort's perimeter. A shaded walk gradually takes you up from the limited roadside parking just above the town of Paratay. Well worth visiting. We enjoyed watching the small monkeys that inhabit the surrounding foliage. The fort itself offers not only a historic sense of place but also some terrific evelated views out over the ocean. A great time of year to visit, this Canadian couple gives it 2 thumbs up!
