Categories: Art Galleries, Landmarks, Museums, Tourist Spots
Casa da Cultura de Paraty occupies a historic 18th century house originally built in 1754 and opened to the public in 2004. It houses a permanent exhibition about the local history and culture. In the Salon of Indigenous Culture, visitors can see the “carpets” made of colored sawdust and flower petals used during the festival of Corpus Christi in June. It also offers a variety of temporal exhibitions and concerts during the year. A variety of musical and literary events take place here for you to enjoy, along with a library to peruse and small bar where you can enjoy a nice coffee. One of the permanent exhibits is interactive, where you can watch and listen to locals giving testimonials of their experience living in Paraty. You can also purchase items from the locals, which helps to support small business. Estive no local durante a "Mesa Zé Kleber - Direitos dos Povos Caiçaras" na FLIP 2016, Achei o lugar aconchegante apesar de um pouco abafado, o fato é que tinha muita gente.
