  • The Church was built between 1600 and 1650, perhaps one of the oldest of Brazil and with certainty. The freed slaves who built the place in honour of Saint Benedict, the patron saint of black. Remains open every day, is worth knowing. Is right in the historical centre of Paranaguá.

  • Worth at historic and conservation aspect. It is close to other attractions (museums, Cathedral, market Hall, historic market) and presents details of construction documents.

  • Paranaguá should reform its entire historical centre. I do not think it is worth the visit. This church is meant for prayers of the village site.
