  • Ten years after the first visit, I returned ... I thought the island abandoned. Handrail, painting Signs rotten security spend by time. In addition to dog dirt trails.

  • It has guesthouse on the island but not advise for those who do not want to adventure, or long walks. I spent a night camping. I don't remember the name of the beach. Food is very expensive there. But the landscape is beautiful.

  • Absolutely is the best on the coast of Paraná. Who can imagine that is a precarious and isolated place, will be surprised to find a structure of guesthouses and restaurants that do not lose anything to the main tourist sites of the country in comfort issues, variety and good service. In fact, good service is a feature common to the vast majority of establishments in the Ilha do Mel. I visited the island four times and come back soon, because each visit yields many surprises. His own boat crossing to the island is already an attraction part yielding beautiful photos! There are two approaches: leaving Pontal do Sul or to Paranaguá. That is to say that, as the boats are relatively slow, always swing considerably and, depending on the sea and the climate, can sway even more, what can bother who is afraid of water or you're not used to that feeling. Therefore, it is better from Pontal do Sul, where the crossing is held in no more than half an hour with boats leaving every hour in low season and every half hour on high. Of Paranaguá there are two daily departures and the crossing lasts around 1 hour and a half. Landing, soon surprises with the total absence of noise of cars and streets, for locomotion's trails. Inevitably slow the pace. Every step something different to see. The island is divided into two villages, Charmed and New (or just that's how everyone calls Brasilia). The first is in the South of the island and has a very beautiful Grotto the sea. Brasilia is located in the middle of the island and has the Mount of the Lighthouse, which has a breathtaking view of the whole nature, hills and sea. Both towns have excellent structure of guesthouses and restaurants to suit all tastes and pockets. Particularly, I'd rather stay in Brasilia by be easier from there, access to all the attractions. Many say it is a walk for one day. I may be at least two. Three would be ideal! Most visited attractions are the Enchanted Grotto and the farol das Conchas. Really you can't visit them. However, who sums up his ride to these two points, missing so much. There are several places to rent bikes with which one can stay all day for affordable prices. I paid 40 shillings a day. I find it pretty cheap, considering that I paid 20 reais for the bike rental for 2 hours elsewhere. Worth much pedaling the waterfront of Brasilia until the fortress Nossa senhora dos Prazeres. The path can also be done on foot. But I recommend going to bike by being faster and, mainly, for the pleasure of riding the sea. In fact, the entire island is very flat which makes the bike ride accessible to anyone, without having to do much physical effort. Arriving at the fortress, not letting up the trail that leads up to the part that was built more recently, on the morro, where you have a very beautiful environmental reserve area of the island, the sea and of other islands. A trail Wed many people stop doing for fear of where there are rocks to pass, is the connecting Brasília to Encantadas. The trick is to start the course in the morning, before the 9:00, which is when the tide is still low, being possible to pass the sand in this region where there are stones. However, even with the high tide, it is possible to perform the passage on top of the stones without major difficulties. Of course, since you don't have any restriction of mobility. Recommend other do this track, in my opinion, is the most beautiful of the island. The pictures posted are of this trail. It's a long walk of approximately 3 hours, and that in addition to the aforementioned stones it is necessary to go up and down the Hill of SOAP (the name suggests it's slick with rain), in addition to travel for three relatively large beaches which are: Praia Grande, Praia do Miguel and Praia da buoy. I therefore recommend making the return of the charmed ones to Brasilia. The ticket costs 10 reais. Well, that's enough to realize that the options to do. In addition to that listed above, it is clear that we need to add fine sea bathing, because the water is suitable for bathing, as well as enjoy good hours of laziness on the beaches. Before ending, I mean that good restaurants abound. Eat seafood don't even want more for fair prices. But I want to draw attention to a "corner" Brasilia to specific a good snack after the tours. Is the Coffee. I confess that I was surprised when I met this coffee. A place with rustic decor very nice, those who don't want to leave. As the options, cafes and sweets, I'm not even going to comment. Only guarantee that anyone will be surprised very positively. Oh, don't forget to take Lantern. As it is a delight to walk around the island at night. But, as I said at the beginning, there are no streets, so there is no street lighting. What makes the romantic nights for the romantics and more adventurous for the adventurous.
