Ilha Canela, Palmas

(4.2/5 based on 280+ reviews on the web)
Cozy and private, with a secluded beach favored by families with kids, Ilha Canela offers a view of the entire city, which the locals claim is best appreciated at sunset. This artificially-made island rises out of calm lake waters and is a frequent site of family picnics. Children enjoy swimming in several areas set up for them in the warm shallows. Adults can choose from several popular bars, with tables and chairs set up right in the water, so you can enjoy a cold drink without ever having to leave your own spot in the lake. You can also visit one of many food stalls serving roasted fish with rice and fresh salad, considered to be a local delicacy. • We meet Isla Canela on a Saturday morning, we were the first to arrive on the island. We took a boat on the beach of Graciosa, pay R$ 25.00 per person, includes round-trip value. We enjoyed a delicious lunch for Peacock bass and delight with a caipixi. I really liked the location, very good to bring children, because the bath area is shallow and quiet.

  • Always told me give Island, had the opportunity to meet. I loved the location, clean, beautiful, clean water, good infrastructure. It is only necessary to cross over with fliers, who's afraid, better not venture. I only found a few expensive prices on the drinks and food. There can't take anything to eat and drink, because it is private property. But, thanks a lot.

  • Without a doubt, is the best beach of the capital. Good place to take kids, because the water is very shallow and surrounded. The island has only 1 restaurant, and the prices are a little salty. A moqueca for two people cost of 110 to 130 reais. Food reasonable. The crossing, are charged 25 reais (roundtrip). It's worth try the pineapple drink from the restaurant. Despite the price, is the ideal place for those looking for a clean and quiet beach in the capital, no sound of sounds.
