  • I was yesterday at the mine and really enjoyed it. You pay 25 for q visit lasts around 20 minutes and is made with an accompanying Guide with complete safety. Worth and is a different program.

  • History class from beginning to end. Is hurting the heart when you hear the stories of slaves and the madness by wealth and tax evasion. Unmissable. Very professional team.

  • The visit to Mina Jeje makes you travel back in time and understand a little more of the hard life of the slaves. Before entering the mine, you have a brief explanation of how it was Ouro Preto back then and what was happening there. The Guide, in addition to giving a history lesson, is very politicized. Ideal to make the visit with school children (which was my case). Nothing better than experiencing what they learned in books. The mine is small, very narrow and in some places we have to duck to pass. Who has claustrophobia definitely won't like the feeling of being there.

  • Attention this is not on the tourist itinerary and not on the tourist map of Ouro Preto, a pity because it could be more visited, an excellent guide, charming and spectacular mine, a return to the past, is very close the Church Nossa Sra. Blacks in a cul-de-sac, is a great tip.

  • Very interesting, especially for school children. A brief history lesson presented by monitor helps a lot to understand the importance of black workers slaves during the colonial period. Very safe ride, and offers no feeling claustrophobic. Be short the path. Don't forget to bring a teacher or student portfolio to pay for her entry.

  • Very interesting to visit. Pay 25.00 to enter. The mine has an accompanying Guide on the sidewalk telling a little of the story and explaining on how to give a gold extraction at the time of slaves. Passed is not too long, not least because the part open to visitation of the mine is not too large. You learn a lot. I recommend to those who visit Ouro Preto.

  • This is one of several mines to visit in the city of Ouro Preto. The guides are knowledgeable and count as gold extractions were held at that time, including how appeared some expressions used until today.

  • The ride is short, but is very worthwhile. The guides have enough knowledge about the history of Brazil and adding value to site visitors. The mine is fresh, with some stretches and a spacious Gallery. The mine was dug by hand by slaves.
