At Itacolomi state park, there are dozens of paths for those who enjoy trekking, while breathing in the fresh air. The Itacolimi peak is the highest point between Ouro Preto and Mariana, from which you will have beautiful views of twelve difference districts down below. • We were in Ouro Preto for 2 days and visited the city and the mines the first day and did itacolomi the second. We got a taxi around 10.30 at praça tiradentes and told the driver we wanted to go to pi...  more »
  • The tracks are all very well flagged. In the park there is also historical sites, like the tea Museum, home of the bandeirantes and a chapel. Nature is exuberant and the trail to the peak of the Itacolomi is wonderful

  • We went to the Park, but you don't have so much assistance. Has several tracks and decided to take the Pico Itacolomi. The problem is that this trail is long and, when he arrives in half, is very difficult. It wasn't until the end. It was necessary to climb. As I'm afraid of heights, I gave up. It is interesting to those who have no fear of venturing out. Like venture, but, when it comes to height, travo. Regretted not catch other lighter tracks.
