  • One more beautiful and rich rococo church of Ouro Preto that deserves to be visited for its altarpieces, ceiling, the rectory and parish hall on the top floor. The Church provides a card with information, which makes it possible to visit auto tour.

  • Linda Church, rich in detail. You can spend a lot of time admiring your structure, the roof is wonderful. Is charged a fee of 3.00 to the visitation and cannot take pictures inside. The external air has a lawn and a pretty nice view of the city.

  • Gorgeous example of a church of the late (rococó) baroque style.
  • I like the Church of our Lady of Mount Carmel is a Catholic Temple of brazilian city of Ouro Preto, important copy of the Rococo tradition in Brazil. Is monument tumbled by Instituto do Patrimônio Histórico e Artístico Nacional. One of the most beautiful and most visited of the acquis in the various churches of the city.

  • Very beautiful, it's worth the tour in all churches, so it is easier to learn about the history of the construction and details of the time, historical facts which are connected to construction that took years and years and the origin of the altars and saints. The ride is super, cultural worth.

  • Its construction is due to the initiative of the third order of Carmo brothers of Rio de Janeiro who had transferred to the former Vila Rica, today Black Gold. In this village they didn't have a temple for your devotions, flocking to the chapel of Santa Quiteria. In 1751 the devotees founded a Sisterhood in Vila Rica, who gave the project to erect a church dedicated to our Lady of Mount Carmel. The project was commissioned to Manuel Francisco Lisboa, who was a member of the brotherhood. The winning bidder of the construction was José Pereira dos Santos, who started the works in 1756. [1]
