  • I don't know other mines to compare. Good points: the guide was well prepared, gave enough information along the sidewalk and took all our doubts. Negative points: access to the site is difficult. There are no signs indicating the way and no one knows how to give information on how to get there. Fortunately we found, but we don't give up. Recommendation: visit a mine in Ouro Preto. Need not necessarily be this, but it is indispensable to know of near these attractions that tell a sad story, but important, and that cannot be ignored.

  • A visit that if snake R$ 30.00 per person, i.e. a lot higher than the main attractions of the city. But it is a fleeting visit, as far as the issue of slavery and the use of children for exploitation. Tourist exploitation and not exploitation of tourism. I recommend saving your money.

  • Very interesting site, where they experience the activity of gold extraction from the 18th century. Situated in one of the first mining clusters in Ouro Preto. There is the possibility, with previous scheduling, venturing out for endless galleries from a waterfall in your interior.
