Andorinhas waterfall, Ouro Preto

(4.1/5 based on 130+ reviews on the web)
Private tours take visitors to the pristine Andorinhas waterfall, located in Parque das Andorinhas, a large environmental protection area. Expert guides can lead you up a series of trails leading to this waterfall, which is famous for its rock formations creating a sort of small cave. These ancient stones attract hundreds of swallows each summer, prompting locals to call this site the "Waterfall of the Swallows." Keep in mind that in order to enter this cavern you will need to go down a short ladder, so comfortable clothes and soft shoes are highly recommended. For those looking for less adventure and more relaxation, the park also offers a variety of activities, like swimming, sunbathing, , and picnicking. Our Ouro Preto trip itinerary planner makes visiting Andorinhas waterfall and other Ouro Preto attractions simple, and helps you make a travel plan personal to you.

  • The waterfall is at the bottom of a cave. Not difficult to access but he takes down a ladder to access. The most interesting is the landscape around: a splendid view of the mountains. There is no means of transportation to the Welcome Center. A bus leaves of Ouro Preto and then have to walk to there access. It's not very long, but there is no indication. (ask the driver where to get off)

  • Is a lovely place, fascinating and unique nature. The view is breathtaking and the waterfall has an absurd energy. The views of the rock of the alligator is unforgettable. Worth every minute and the photographic records are an extra attraction of the place is worth to be taken into account in every way.

  • I went by bus to the entrance of the trail, coming up is a walk of about 25 min until andandobraoido where plates are flagged the waterfalls, and indicated the arrows on the floor with different colors. The look is beautiful.
