Parque Aldeia do Imigrante, Nova Petropolis

Buildings that pay homage to the country’s diverse past are preserved at Parque Aldeia do Imigrante. A Bavarian village is a strange thing to see tucked away in a Brazilian landscape, but there it is with its trussled balconies and flower boxes. Landscaped gardens surround the mock-up village, giving it a restful and cared-for ambiance. The attraction is a testament to the determination of German immigrants to remember their home, so far away across the water. Take a tour by electric car to save your feet and take advantage of a guide, or ask a helpful staff member to lead you around the museum and the grounds. Put Parque Aldeia do Imigrante on your schedule, and learn what else deserves a visit by using our Nova Petropolis trip itinerary planner .

  • The Park is quite large, has a fish pond, a snack bar, a covered area that was having a song the day we went. It also has shops and a play for children. The visit to the village of immigrants can be made on foot or for those who prefer for the $8.00 carts per person, but the hike is nice. The village has a place to buy typical German snacks, as well as many interesting things to see and take pictures. Worth visiting.

  • The Park is beautiful. I suggest a walk to the Lake higher and circumvent the right until the end of the Park, coming in behind the town of immigrant. Doing the most used and shorter, you will lose to see copies of trees, shrubs and flowers unlike anything I've ever seen in the region, as trees whose roots sprout from the ground vertically, like cones; flowers that look like Lady earring in giant size; century-old trees of gigantic trunks. There are several plaques explaining the botanical peculiarities. Immigrant's village is filled with original buildings reconstructed on site and allow you to have a pretty realistic idea of life in the colony. Between in all open houses, it's worth it. Back the other way, to enjoy the beauty of the forest.

  • I don't have the slightest doubt that this is a place that must be visited. You're going to have contact and feel a German settler in Brazil 18-19 century. Drink at the source of immigration. Be sure to visit him. It's huge! Just the ride for him to walk, already paid the entry. A-m-e-r!

  • Nice German culture experience.

  • The Park is beautiful, but it's extremely bad care and there is no one in the Park to assist and explain certain things. There is no good, signaling you get lost there. The place needs extra care urgent.

  • Nice for a walk but is very quit. Takes a ride on a paddle boat on the Lake whose pedal boats are on reasonable terms to bad, and the German town bad preserved, but we can have a good contact with nature there.

  • Very nice, interesting, didn't have a lot of people, we can see everything, have cultural presentations and gift shop with good price. The old photo of part of the village down behind the Lake is great and look beautiful.
