Where to stay in Nova Petropolis

During your Nova Petropolis vacation, you can immerse yourself in the town's history by staying in one of the many hotels and inns housed in original German-style alpine buildings. The town also offers a selection of spacious villas, typically with large gardens. Most accommodations line the town's main road, Avenida 15 de Novembro, which snakes its way through the length of Novo Petropolis. If you want to stay somewhere a bit quieter, follow the road a few minutes out of town--you'll find several stand-alone accommodations where you can experience the surrounding scenery in peace.

  • Food more or less, nothing out of the ordinary and customary. Nothing at all. They have some (few) beers "craft" marks. The decor is thumbs-up. I'm not going again.

  • The House preserves the original features. Has a large collection of pictures painted by local artists. Worth knowing.

  • For those who like to enjoy beautiful pictures this is the ideal place in Nova Petrópolis. Several paintings of landscapes of the region.

  • Café colonial
  • I was in the Yellow House in 22/04/2017. The place works in a restored 1907 by the German Consulate in 2007. The tables are in rooms of the House and the air conditioned environment. Is located next to a square where the bridge of the Emperor, super charming scenery of city of Ivoti/RS. The place offers Colonial coffee (with delicious local sausages and mustard made there by Chef Edith) and Kerb Lunch (with sauerkraut, pork, etc). Both are served in a very sick, that style of serra gaúcha that we already know. Besides being a delicious restaurant, offers sweet and savoury pies in charming wood tables, plus a delicious breakfast while watching the people walking on the street of the waterfall in the historic mansions. In 23/04/2017 paid $49 for lunch and $52 by the colonial coffee-worth every penny. Is the type of meal in the day don't have breakfast and certainly not dine. Oh! They make a certain amount of meals a day if you have large groups reserve! Take items such as chairs and sarongs to sit in the square next to the bridge of the Emperor afterwards. It's very charming.

  • I went twice to the colonial coffee and found it excellent and was well attended. But in a third time, I took the family and treated me wrong right off the bat, not a matter of rearranging the tables so that it can accommodate everyone and still being extremely rude. We would have to simply wait for lack of will. I gave up and went to a cafe in Morro Reuter. Will I ever get a chance because I had good experiences before but it was an unnecessary inconvenience.

  • One of the best coffees. High quality pies. Appropriate price. Historic site.

  • We went to lunch on the day of children and ask 3 homemade dishes (since you wanted to charge the colonial coffee from my 7 year old daughter, and the value is quite salty and it almost wouldn't eat anything). Meat and potato rice fried foods badly made. Salt dish, no color, no flavor, hospital food, accompanied by a salad of cabbage and canned pure vinegar of those that nobody touches. A beautiful place it's a shame the neglect with the main restaurant, the food. We're never coming back.
