This tourist spot has to come out of the recommendations. After the last catastrophe the waterfall no longer exists, is a total waste of time go to the site.

This time it was disappointing what I witnessed not a drop of water in it was beautiful the bride's Veil Waterfall. But, according to the information I had was that it was "closed" due to the latest ecological disaster that the city suffered in 2011. If the reason was actually that's understandable since we do not want another jolt those in the city of Nova Friburgo. But it's a shame, for those who have not had the opportunity to meet.

Unfortunately the tragedy that occurred in the city in 2011 is over. still a good restaurant (rib), but otherwise there's nothing else to do!

Where to stay in Nova Friburgo

As a popular tourist hotspot, Nova Friburgo boasts a wide range of boutique, midsize hotels in the city center, mainly clustered within a few blocks of the Bengalas River. These accommodations, just a short walk from the city's main streets, tend to be somewhat upscale, with onsite pools and gardens. Many feature architectural styles reminiscent of Swiss and German mountain chalets. In the hills south of the city, past Point de Saudade, you'll find more nature-oriented options and eco-lodges, which focus on comfort combined with a somewhat rustic feel. Plenty of "pousadas" also dot the area: traditional Brazilian guesthouses offering lower prices in exchange for fewer amenities.
