  • Easy access trail and can take children over 7 years old and the elderly in the mood to climb many stairs. . Exotic place due to many rocks and small caves. Very natural with incredible scenery. Worth the visit.

  • The track and very quiet, flagged and quickie. The stone is "just a dog" but it's worth it for the peace of mind to make the ascent. The Park is also very nice.

Where to stay in Nova Friburgo

As a popular tourist hotspot, Nova Friburgo boasts a wide range of boutique, midsize hotels in the city center, mainly clustered within a few blocks of the Bengalas River. These accommodations, just a short walk from the city's main streets, tend to be somewhat upscale, with onsite pools and gardens. Many feature architectural styles reminiscent of Swiss and German mountain chalets. In the hills south of the city, past Point de Saudade, you'll find more nature-oriented options and eco-lodges, which focus on comfort combined with a somewhat rustic feel. Plenty of "pousadas" also dot the area: traditional Brazilian guesthouses offering lower prices in exchange for fewer amenities.
