We stopped in this place for lunch, for an indication. The restaurant is great. Cozy, clean and excellent dishes. The trout was wonderful.

The place is beautiful! Delicious food, ditto cheese! The visit to capril is really cool! The kids love it!

Excellent cheeses, but very expensive. The access road is a bit damaged, but worth the trip.

Where to stay in Nova Friburgo

As a popular tourist hotspot, Nova Friburgo boasts a wide range of boutique, midsize hotels in the city center, mainly clustered within a few blocks of the Bengalas River. These accommodations, just a short walk from the city's main streets, tend to be somewhat upscale, with onsite pools and gardens. Many feature architectural styles reminiscent of Swiss and German mountain chalets. In the hills south of the city, past Point de Saudade, you'll find more nature-oriented options and eco-lodges, which focus on comfort combined with a somewhat rustic feel. Plenty of "pousadas" also dot the area: traditional Brazilian guesthouses offering lower prices in exchange for fewer amenities.
