-Made cheeses and local producers, of great quality. Chocolates of own manufacturing. Good place for a snack or even restaurant annex serves varied cuisine. It is possible to monitor the production of cheeses. At the entrance to the parking lot there are two shops of local artisans to visit. Annex has the immigrant Museum with the history of colonization of the city. Easy access to people with disabilities

It is worth visiting this place, with good shops and a great restaurant which has a wide variety of domestic and imported beers, which makes it difficult to choose, all with reasonable prices.

I've been to Sierra tour this past weekend (16.07.2017) with friends, and we chose the House Switzerland as a place to meet. Of guy we saw "cheese dairy and Chocolate", but the variety of cheeses doesn't surprise me. However, the chocolates are wonderful and with a fair price, not to mention it's a great place to buy souvenirs. Worth knowing! Remembering that I was not on days of festivals.

If you choose to visit the place at the time of the Chocolate Festival in August, arrive early. In 2016 there were a lot of people in the afternoon, tour bus, lines in kilometers to buy chocolate and hamburgers. There was no place to sit (just inside the restaurant), there was only one place to eat, and Burger options 2 were over. A single bathroom. I walked out of there without chocolate. I hope the structure has improved this year.

Wonderful place, cozy, quiet and peaceful, great for lunch with the family. Great service both in the restaurant and gift shop. Delicious meals, especially the Filet Mignon of beef tenderloin with sauce 5 cheeses, with piamontese rice and potatoes noisette. Desserts and sweets, especially Strawberry delight. The gift shop with a lot of variety of cheeses and chocolates. (To go crazy and take it all). Every time I go, I take a little bit from each cheese home and love the chocolate bars.

Immigration Museum location Switzerland, with the cheese school, with gas station, and restaurant. Performs events such as the Festival of Chocolate in early August, celebrating Switzerland's national day. Mountain climate. Temp. Annual average of 16º c. In winter falls below 12ºc. Good to enjoy wines, cheeses and chocolates. The event has sold out the hamlet of Conquest where is Frialp.

Where to stay in Nova Friburgo

As a popular tourist hotspot, Nova Friburgo boasts a wide range of boutique, midsize hotels in the city center, mainly clustered within a few blocks of the Bengalas River. These accommodations, just a short walk from the city's main streets, tend to be somewhat upscale, with onsite pools and gardens. Many feature architectural styles reminiscent of Swiss and German mountain chalets. In the hills south of the city, past Point de Saudade, you'll find more nature-oriented options and eco-lodges, which focus on comfort combined with a somewhat rustic feel. Plenty of "pousadas" also dot the area: traditional Brazilian guesthouses offering lower prices in exchange for fewer amenities.
