  • Q ride did often in childhood qd was not yet favelizado. The monument was beautiful and well maintained. Has long been abandoned by the Government and the place became too dangerous to visit. Too bad!

  • Beautiful monument built in honor of our Lady help of Christians, located on top of a hill next to the Salesian College, in Niteroi. Opened in 1900, the image was made of copper in Italy and brought to Brazil by ship dismantling. In total it measures 34 metres high, being 6 meters and 28 meters of column base. Our Lady help of Christians was the Saint of devotion of Don Bosco and is the patron saint of the Salesians. It is said that Christ the Redeemer in Rio de Janeiro, was positioned in front of the monument.

  • A good place to visit if it wasn't dangerous. Surrounded by slums, despite having a good view, I do not recommend. To tell you the truth, I'm not going there for more than 30 years, due to reports of robberies. A shame! The view was very nice, though now with the great real estate speculation the Icarai and Santa Rosa neighborhoods have so many buildings that I don't even know if the view of the monument is still interesting.
