Come Christmas and not go to Fort doesn't make sense! The strong simply aggregates values at the structural beauty (rustic)/beauty of visual landscape.

Worth a visit, to get to the Fort you do a walk some 500mts and enough security and orientation receives later is released the access, if you want to have some tabs that tell the story of the Fort they charge 30 reais to show and tell the story.

A really nice tourist attraction (they close the at 4pm) and the best spot for you to take a nice picture of Newton Navarro bridge. I really recommend you to stay until the sundown.

The long path you walk down to get to the fort is pretty, it's a shame that all I heard was that it wasn't the safest thing to do. The security people said it was generally safe before 5 PM.

Where to stay in Natal

Looking to enjoy the best beaches and soak up the holiday atmosphere, most visitors eschew the city center when it comes to accommodations in Natal. Instead, many look to the southern beachside neighborhood of Ponta Negra, which brims with tourist resorts and the accompanying bars, restaurants, and cafes. If you want to escape the tourist route and experience the city itself, you'll find plenty of options along the beachside boulevard of Av. Presidente Cafe Filho--a stone's throw from the beach and the city center. For something much quieter, surrounded by rolling dunes and clear waters, stay on the seafront next to Parque das Dunas.
