Redinha beach, Natal

2.8
#13 of 26 in Beaches in Natal
Beach Nature / Park
As the only beach of the North Zone of Natal, Redinha beach is mostly frequented by locals. The beach is well known for its simple, rustic houses and bars, and excellent fish. Try the regional delicacy 'ginga com tapioca'--fried fish served piping hot with tapioca. The nearby Newton Navarro suspension bridge makes for a postcard-worthy view. Where to stay in Natal

Looking to enjoy the best beaches and soak up the holiday atmosphere, most visitors eschew the city center when it comes to accommodations in Natal. Instead, many look to the southern beachside neighborhood of Ponta Negra, which brims with tourist resorts and the accompanying bars, restaurants, and cafes. If you want to escape the tourist route and experience the city itself, you'll find plenty of options along the beachside boulevard of Av. Presidente Cafe Filho--a stone's throw from the beach and the city center. For something much quieter, surrounded by rolling dunes and clear waters, stay on the seafront next to Parque das Dunas.

  • This beach lies at the mouth of the large river meeting the sea. The surrounding area is not the most secure. There a far better beaches to go to.  more »
  • It's seems used to be wonderful place to visit . But to day poor infrastructure and lack of facilities brought to my attention. Safety precautions must be taken whenever you go nearby.  more »
  • Not very special. The only thing is the view you have of the bridge and part of the city of Natal. You just pass through in the way to Genipabu  more »
