Ponta Negra Beach, Natal

4.1
#1 of 47 in Outdoors in Natal
Ponta Negra Beach, a lively beach dotted by numerous convenient tourist facilities, has long been a beloved hang-out spot for both locals and passing visitors. The sand is lined with huts, locally called "barracas," selling food and drinks to beachgoers throughout the day, with several staying open late into the night. You can swim, dive, and snorkel in these calm waters, or spend the day browsing the many nearby shops, bars, clubs, and restaurants. Located at the extreme southern end of the beach is the famous Morro do Careca (Bald Hill), a large dune and an iconic landmark of the city. To the north of the beach is the Via Costeira (Coastal Way), a long road connecting this site with several other popular beaches along the coast. • We love the structure of kiosks and Beach attractions. Products offered in the barracks has a lot of quality, the owners and staff are very helpful. Beach clean!

  • Note 10 especially if the tide is on the ebb, is a delight to forget the time getting waves. That comes and goes hot wave, the ground almost flat. Is one of the best beaches I know to swim ...

  • Ponta Negra beach is the hottest place both day and night, in Natal. Is where you are most of the hotels. Transparent waters and warm. Many kiosks, bars and restaurants. Lively atmosphere and well policed.

  • I lived in the Ponta Negra area for a year and all I can say about this place is that it's amazing and I will always miss it. The beach can be a bit croweded sometimes but it's totally worth the visit.

  • Beautiful beach with strong waves, marked by the Morro do Careca which gives a beauty. The climb on the Hill is prohibited to avoid silting, but beauty pays off, great clicks can be taken. At high tide the strip of sand is well reduced, but downtown you can walk quietly, the tour can also be done by large footwear. Retired earlier are in excellent conditions currently, generally clean. On the edge there are several restaurants, steakhouses, seafood, foreign and regional cuisines. However abusive prices charged in kiosks in relation to payment of chairs and sunshades-attention.

  • Urban beach most famous in town. To have access you need to descend a slope not so small, by the way, and of course, on the way back it takes gas to beam her. However, to circumvent this small drawback is possible sd stay in good hotels or inns by the sea or nearby. For being a tourist beach prices are exorbitant and the amount of stalls is large
