Ponta Negra Beach, Natal

(3.8/5 based on 10,000+ reviews on the web)
Ponta Negra Beach, a lively beach dotted by numerous convenient tourist facilities, has long been a beloved hang-out spot for both locals and passing visitors. The sand is lined with huts, locally called "barracas," selling food and drinks to beachgoers throughout the day, with several staying open late into the night. You can swim, dive, and snorkel in these calm waters, or spend the day browsing the many nearby shops, bars, clubs, and restaurants. Located at the extreme southern end of the beach is the famous Morro do Careca (Bald Hill), a large dune and an iconic landmark of the city. To the north of the beach is the Via Costeira (Coastal Way), a long road connecting this site with several other popular beaches along the coast. • To my taste, it has good beach with many waves and a good rough sea. It is not a recommended sea for young children.

  • The urban beach is full of Guard are and tents. But the worst are the hideous restaurants across the street, a massive crowd. Ponta Negra was the best place for Christmas, now ta a decay. I'd hate to stay in a hotel there, I chose 1000 times stay on via costeira, same q for dinner had q take car.

  • The beach is beautiful... near the morro water is more calm (and you can see dolphins getting a little sea) towards across more waves for surf... pay attention to your personal things other tourists and I had the misfortune of being stolen on the same day. They take advantage of the distraction to steal purses and backpacks... (not you trust or when a Parador) is a beach that has all ideal for sea front business and safety walking at night facing the sea. There are always many people.
