The Institute Câmara Cascudo-not to be confused with the Museum (UFRN) and the Memorial-is the House where Krab lived. There are objects of the writer and his family and some rooms are reconstituted as used by children. It's a very interesting visit, by the author's story, until now a reference when talking on folklore, but whose work went beyond, and also by the sympathy of the team. We were greeted by Cyllene (Silene?) and then we also find a person in the family who takes care of the collection and other officials. All very attentive. I disagree with some comments below, which suggests that it is a "poor". It is a historic site and there is a lot of information to be absorbed at the site. The Beetle, which is still being cataloged, can be consulted by researchers, by sending a letter with the request and reasons. It is a pity that the center of Christmas is so abandoned and that there is a project to create a "historical circuit" in the region. It's not really a pleasant stroll in the area (land abandoned, broken sidewalks, lack of information), but it's worth clearing the Center. The visit to the Câmara Cascudo (Ludovicus) costs only $ 5 (2.50 half R$) and there is a small shop with works of the author and some other items.show original

Vale a pena visitar. Cascudo was one of the most important studious of brazilian's culture, traditions and folklore. He wrote more than 150 books about our country and it's people, preserverd on this house, were he lived for 40 years. Here in Natal, people say: the real brazilian discoverer isn't the portugueses, but Cascudo. The man, the mith. Visitations every tuesday to saturday, at 9 to 5.
Eu amei esse lugar por que ele faz parte da cultura nordestina
