Lagoa de Pitangui, Natal

4.3
#4 of 15 in Nature in State of Rio Grande do Norte
A hidden oasis, Lagoa de Pitangui is set amongst the dunes in an ideal landscape nestled between sand and greenery. The waters are clean and safe for taking a cool dip away from the tides. At the nearby restaurants, you will find an excellent selection of seafood that will sustain you for your lagoon outting. The path to the lagoon can be confusing on foot, but don’t be shy about asking for help on your way there from the friendly locals. • Infrastructure of local bars and restaurants around the Lakes of pitangui, with toilets, tables and chairs around the Lake, zip line to cruanças, and craft shop ... bars serve various types of cocktails, tables with umbrella ... good place to stop on the buggy ride ....

  • The pond is good for swimming and it is interesting to be at the tables with the feet in the water because the fish come nibbling. However access is reasonable as it is by the lagoon Bar Restaurant and take out food and the prices aren't so attractive. The road is sand or earth, is in the middle of the dunes, despite that cars that are not 4 x 4 can get there.

  • It's a delightful place! The tables of restaurants that are on the edge of the Lake are placed inside the water.. It's great to eat portions, small talk and have a cold beer.

Where to stay in Natal

Looking to enjoy the best beaches and soak up the holiday atmosphere, most visitors eschew the city center when it comes to accommodations in Natal. Instead, many look to the southern beachside neighborhood of Ponta Negra, which brims with tourist resorts and the accompanying bars, restaurants, and cafes. If you want to escape the tourist route and experience the city itself, you'll find plenty of options along the beachside boulevard of Av. Presidente Cafe Filho--a stone's throw from the beach and the city center. For something much quieter, surrounded by rolling dunes and clear waters, stay on the seafront next to Parque das Dunas.
