Where to stay in Natal

Looking to enjoy the best beaches and soak up the holiday atmosphere, most visitors eschew the city center when it comes to accommodations in Natal. Instead, many look to the southern beachside neighborhood of Ponta Negra, which brims with tourist resorts and the accompanying bars, restaurants, and cafes. If you want to escape the tourist route and experience the city itself, you'll find plenty of options along the beachside boulevard of Av. Presidente Cafe Filho--a stone's throw from the beach and the city center. For something much quieter, surrounded by rolling dunes and clear waters, stay on the seafront next to Parque das Dunas.

  • This place has nothing much to offer, but some views of a different landscape in Natal. Tired of the beach? Need some place to run and look at the different vegetation around Natal. This is the place....  more »
  • The Parque da Cidade Dom Nivaldo Monte is great because it is surrounded by dunes and has a gorgeous green, which makes it a wonderful place to go hiking because of the fresh air. Has a gazebo, where you will find a beautiful part of the city of Natal. Well worth a visit.

  • The Park is beautiful, has the gazebo with a different perspective of the city, but lack infrastructure for cyclists and people who want to walk through the area. Planting trees, shaded areas, kiosk with snacks and water, for example. In any case, the main issue is the lack of security for a walk in the Park, according to one of the guards who stay in the area.

  • Não tem muitos locais com sombra, tem pouca segurança, mas é um ótimo lugar pra correr e/ou pedalar perto da natureza.
  • Parque muito bom e extenso, vale a pena caminhar ou pedalar no local!
  • Great place to visit, great view and a small exposition. It's free.
  • Nice place.
