Farol do Morro, Morro de Sao Paulo

Farol do Morro, or “Lighthouse Hill,” is the a personal paradise created by Antonio and Rosita Couto. So stunned by the view and the location, the couple decided to share their newfound paradise with other travelers opening a hotel on the magical site in 1986. Nowadays, guests of the hotel and visitors frequent the restaurant for the pristine views accessible from one of the busiest walking streets in Morro de São Paulo. Arrive in the afternoon, before the dinner rush, to grab a table overlooking the water. • Nice track, but a lot of garbage, the Hill is with overcrowding, proper care of the space. The Lighthouse is abandoned, but the view of the sunset is gorgeous! It's worth it! We went on a day that I couldn't admire the sunset, but it was still a fantastic experience, at the other end of the trail you can see the beaches 1 and 2.

  • It is worth to have a visual track. From there you enjoy the view of the island and can still make and release a lot of adrenaline.

  • Morro de São Paulo is a mix of Búzios years ago with the slopes of Ouro Preto. There are breath and legs. To get to the Lighthouse takes place in front of the beautiful church of Our Lady of light and follow towards Bat's lair. The ideal is to go around at sunset. The view is stunning.

Where to stay in Morro de Sao Paulo

A good set of pousadas (guesthouses) and small hotels nestle up as close as they can to Morro de Sao Paulo's main beach areas, offering rooms to suit a variety of budgets and tastes. Some enjoy additional facilities, such as outdoor pools, bars, and restaurants, and one of the primary concerns for visitors is securing a sea view. However, if you're looking to spend more time outside than in, you'll find plenty of affordable rooms throughout the atmospheric little village. Come peak season (December to March), however, big crowds mean that free rooms are scarce, so book ahead.
