Ponte Velha, Morretes

(3.7/5 based on 200+ reviews on the web)
City landmark Ponte Velha, constructed in 1912 and extensively restored in 1975, crosses the Nhundiaquara River in the spot once used for gold panning. The bridge is close to the downtown area and serves up a bit of local history in a natural setting. Wide enough for the passage of only one vehicle at time, the bridge once stood as a symbol of regional wealth. Today this remnant of the past reminds visitors of the many changes and modern developments the country has gone through in the recent decades. Near the bridge you can find several restaurants (with outdoor seating overlooking the river), as well as a few souvenir shops and convenient general stores. Put Ponte Velha into our Morretes vacation builder to see other points of interest to visit during your vacation in Morretes.

  • The bridge is further from the "village center" of Morretes, right after the square with Bandstand. Thought she was a MIME, a jewel that offers a beautiful view of the river.

  • It's nice, but it can't be the motivator of a trip to Morretes. Go to Morretes for cooking, the historical importance of its buildings ... and pass over the bridge.

  • Bridge over the main river of Morretes. Linking the square, rua das flores and a dining area with the main restaurants, among which the old bridge and the Madalozo.
