  • I went with some friends, we were greeted by the owner of the site, which left us free to meet all over the House and said the final would be charged 10.00 in box ha a lot of antique furniture, but nothing to say of Monteiro Lobato, even because the owner explains that he m prayed there, but that after her family bought the property and lived too so ha objects in the House that are like family photos and other more, in the library there several authors, books including Monteiro Lobato, at the end she proseou a little with us , explaining the history of the property and some facts about Monteiro Lobato and some of his works. We were able to visit the land of the property and a waterfall that Monteiro Lobato quotes in some of his works. For those who like Monteiro Lobato Valley curiosity to feel on the spot that he lived a part of your life, but nothing to say exceptional, so much so that I was only once out of curiosity even. Would not come back.

  • We had a super sacrifice (we were 3 hours of the site) and when we get there, all very abandoned on the outside, without careful and deal in the gardens and/or outside. The inner part, only the walls were originals of Monteiro Lobato, a frustration. At the entrance if only visit, are 10 reais per person. If lunch + visit is real and 50 children 25 reais. Some books are sold at the entrance, cheeses, etc. It's all very informal, very unprofessional. The food is not worth it. Has a tiny waterfall that you have to go it alone, no one follows. Know how to collect, but nothing of real value to a place that lived Monteiro Lobato. To visit the House you do alone, nobody explains nothing and has nothing written before the halls, rooms, etc. The owner lives there, I think your mother of age also need to professionalize in respect to who moves to la ´. I definitely do not recommend a sentence.

  • Visiting the location of housing, where Monteiro Lobato sought your inspiration for writing the best of children's literature of Brazil, is first of all a great privilege. Need I remind visitors, as was clearly explained in the tour, that this is not the location of the filming of the television series 1977-86 Rede Globo, and that neither is a guided visit where you will find the doll Emília or famous character Viscount Sabugosa (named after the grandfather of Author the Visconde de Tremembé). The House, as well as the farm and particularly the Cachoeira das águas claras, preserve the landscapes that populated the mind and inspired scenes immortalized in the works of the author. In addition, the current owner and your daughter (who are not family) organize a lunch served on the porch of the House with a typical Farm menu, which does not prove, but was noted for a next visit.
