Formiga Waterfall, Mateiros

(4.9/5 based on 420+ reviews on the web)
A small but powerful cascade with a clear, emerald plunge pool, Formiga Waterfall is an invigorating bathing spot. Dive into the warm, inviting pool and see the minnows darting through the bubbles, or enjoy a soothing massage from mother nature underneath the tumbling falls. Don't be put off by the name, Formiga Waterfall--or 'Ant Waterfall'--is named after the Formiga River, and not an infestation of insects. • Crystal clear water, a wonderful sight, but has no infrastructure, you have to take everything because otherwise starve. It pays to go for acampanhar on site, the cost is super cheap, about R$ 30.00 per person to use the site next to the waterfall. Everything can be combined with the owner, is a lovely person.

  • The space that takes advantage of the waterfall is not very big and the atmosphere is a little closed vegetation around not allowing full penetration of sunlight. Nice with short space for swimming. Very beautiful water color that somewhat resembles the beautiful color of Santa Barbara Waterfall in Chapada dos Veadeiros. Attached to the region of Cachoeira do Formiga there is a restaurant and an area for camping.

  • Us that water is this??? The waterfall of Ant is a beautiful waterfall! Is a shallow, but has support points as trunks and stairs. Following the flow of the waterfall below the waterfall has a shallower point and lower current, ideal for those who do not know how to swim or small children.
