Where to stay in Maringa

You're most likely to find accommodation in the central grid of Maringa, which is bisected by the railway line and lies just north of the iconic Cathedral of Maringa. Stay in one of the larger hotels in the city center--and ask for a south-facing room--to experience views of the spiked cathedral from the comfort of your suite. If you want to make the most of the city's vast green spaces, stay near one of Maringa's biggest urban parks, Parque do Inga or Bosque 2. If you're driving and just planning to spend one night, you can find accommodations along the main arteries in and out of town.

  • Living square is place to visit and revisit the two largest parties: the Party's gastronomic Maringá Song and Celebration of Nations. We were with friends, savoring delicious tidbits Portuguese in charity tent, but I could see that the structures are worn by time and despite the rock concert the audience didn't stay long to honor. I think it's time to modernize and improve comfort for the holidays back to attract more patrons, because Sunday night the tents were empty. A shame because the location is central and the postcard of the city cathedral.

  • It's great that there's always handicraft market. In one of the days I spent there was with a stage set, with music provided by the city.
