  • On the outside is beautiful, but unfortunately the Church is closed for renovations. So, I couldn't meet your interior.

  • A simple Church in comparison to other existing in Ouro Preto/MG, more beautiful and with a beautiful decoration. To enter the Church is paid a symbolic value, currently R $3.00. As in all other churches of Ouro Preto, you cannot take pictures inside. This church has an incredible view of the whole city high and a beautiful area, and you can sit outside and even do a little snack politely.

  • Simple, with less ostentatious than the Carmo Church, but stunning. One of the wonders of Ouro Preto. Meet!

Where to stay in Mariana

Many of the most convenient places to stay in Mariana lie within a walkable distance of one of the city's main squares, the Praca Tancredo Neves. A surprising array of accommodation options cluster in the town core, from family-run bed and breakfasts and shared houses to more upscale, resort-style hotels complete with swimming pools. Keep an eye out for "pousadas," independently-owned guesthouses or lodges, often within a historical mansion or residential building. Alternatively, nearby Ouro Preto features a larger array of accommodations, though you'll need to bus or drive into Mariana.
