  • You would appreciate coming to this place if you have extra time. Some animals you did not see during your Amazon cruise are here. Sad but true. it is best to do the tour during late afternoon.  more »

  • This resort has everything. Nicest staff . I even extended my stay. Not sure what's up with the bad reviews ??? Maybe other hotels posting ... Not one negative experience since I arrived... And I am a difficult person to please.... You will have zero regrets staying here .... they have everything
  • We had to make an emergency landing in manaus because a passenger had a heart attack on the plane. Once the passenger was attended to (he lived) we planned on departing however the plane failed a bunch of safety checks so we were grounded until they fixed it. They posted up the entire flight in this resort for the night. They were very accommodating. The place was clean and the people were very friendly and helpful. They had an assortment of shops inside and just outside of the main building which had some pretty cool stuff... jewelry, cigars, local liquors...etc. we also recieved free breakfast and dinner which was a buffet of local foods. All in a all a pretty good experience.
  • I have been to the Tropical 6 times in the last 15 years. The first time I went it was to visit the rain forest for the first time. It was a fantastic experience. The hotel brings me to the 1700s in Brasil. Large concrete walls, large wooden floor rooms. Very large doors. It took me 3 days just to explore the grounds. The outdoor zoo is relaxing to see local animals. The restaurant in the pool area is well worth the price, more v ariety of food than you will ever see anywhere else. Had my first caiparinha at the pool. Even though I could not speak Portuguese the staff were polite and helpful.
  • The rooms are super comfortable, the pool is amazing. It's near the airport and have a really beautiful view of the river.
  • I imagine how great and marvelous it was at its time. It is a big hotel which was built many years ago and couldn't keep up with the time. It is still a good place to stay, but below the expected. About localization, its close to a very nice beach (yeah. Although Manaus is not in the Brazil's coastline, the rivers are so wide that looks like the sea), but it's far from midtown.
