  • One of the coolest places to meet in Manaus, more specifically in the village Paradise. It is a faithful reproduction of the Baron, trade, bathroom, house captain and House of the rubber tappers, in addition to rubber extraction process in great detail. The place fairly preserved, it is an open air museum. The structure in the past was set up to lease the jungle movie, based on the book of the same title, written by Ferreira de Castro and who later became a museum. To get there you need to take a boat leaving the Marina do David or pier of the hotel Tropical. The value is 14.00 per person. We went on a Monday, local cleaning day and usually without guided tour, however we were greeted by Mrs. Maria Helena, who introduced himself as responsible for cleaning up the site and that, meanwhile, had us follow, having presented us the place with many information and interest; a free!

  • The site was a movie starring the actress Maitê Proença, called "the jungle", was very well done, with richness in details, with objects, a lesson in history, because it demonstrates how was the arrival of the Northeast called Soldiers of rubber, and as it was the beginning of the occupation and exploration of the Amazon.

  • This is the location of the filming of the movie the jungle with Maitê Proença. After, there was an agreement to leave as is, because it portrays very well the lifestyle of the time. Very cool

  • Very informative and interesting. Felt like I took a step back in time.
  • Definitely must be seen place! A lot of history in the houses of the workers and rich people of the rubber era! Pleasant boat trip and amazing nature out there waiting for you!
  • Nice river trip (12 reais each way) to get to the museum (5 reais entry). Impressive contrast of opulence at the mansion with luxuries from all over the world and the precarious conditions of the bonded labor in the forest. Very much recommend it. Only in Portuguese though.

  • It was great to visit. I paid R $14 by crossing from the Marina of David (after the same value to return). Arriving at the scene was greeted by Mari guide that provided many humorous form information about life at the site at the time of the holding of LaTeX. Note 10 for Mari. The buildings seem to be very faithful as well as utensils. I advise go early to take advantage of better for having less people and place to park at the Marina case go on their own. I was in a time when it was raining every day and I was lucky to be able to go anywhere before the rain fall around 11:00 in the morning.
